Coreografías para no bailar is the first exhibition devoted to the choreographers José Lainez and Concha Martínez, born in San Sebastián, introducers of contemporary dance in Spain. The exhibition can be seen at Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Huarte from February 6 to May 3.
Curated by Las Negras Productions, this interactive exhibition provides an overview of the artistic work of these pioneers of Spanish contemporary choreography work while allowing the visitor to interact with the path of an artistic process. The exhibition proposes itself as an experience, a path to navigate among scenography, texts, photographs, drawings, objects and videos that propose a retrospective of José Lainez and Concha Martínez artistic work. Divided into the following sections; Inspiration, Transmission, Creation and Memory , Coreografias para no Bailar proposes and interactive instructions to help the visitor experience these different phases of a creative process.
Coreografias para no bailar, also marks the first collaboration between different institutions Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Huarte, Donostia / San Sebastian 2016 and Gipuzkoako Dantzagunea and proposes various activities around dance and choreography developed in both cities Huarte and San Sebastián.
Being the detonator of this project the film documentary Ventanas Adentro will be finalized and premiered in June 2015 at Donostia/San Sebastian.
