Las Negras in Mongolia
From July 19th until August 9th Las Negras Productions has been in Mongolia with the project (In)Tangible Traces. This has been the second expedition to this country, with the purpose of researching and documenting Bi Biyilgee, West Mognolian Traditional Dance. In the form of an artistic collaboration with Tumen Ekh National Dance and Song Ensemble, the Ministery of Education and Science of Mongolia and the Department of Education and Culture from Uvs Province, Las negras productions has initiated the production process of the film documentary Horizontes Desplazados. Up to 21 dance experts from Ulaanbataar and Uvs province have been interviewed and demonstrations of the transmission and execution of the dances have been filmed in order to document this ancient dance.
